School Meals
Our school menu has been updated and we are using our new meal options, including a vegetarian option, choice of sandwich and jacket potato each day.
Our menu conforms to the School Foods Standards and is mainly home produced and all cooked fresh and served with seasonal vegetables.
Desserts
Your child will have the option to choose from a variety of desserts on the day, these are not pre booked.
Lunchtime System
Children are given a coloured meal card. Children take this to the dinning hall and are given their pre booked meal choice. This helps ensure all children are only receiving their chosen meal and cannot change their mind on the day.
From the 8th April we will run 2 menus: Spring/Summer 08/04/2024-21/10/2024 (menus are below together with Allergen information) and Autumn/Spring (04/11/2024-31/03/2025) and to ensure a variety of choice the 3-week rolling menu will continue. Choices of lunch are to be pre-booked as far in advance as possible at the beginning of each term. We hope that this will make the process easier for yourself as well as the admin and kitchen team.
Please note that our meat products are not Halal.
Regardless of circumstances, please note that ALL meals MUST be pre-booked. In instances where no meals have been pre-booked then a sandwich will be booked on your behalf. However, it is expected that all parents pre-book meals themselves.
If your child is absent and has pre-booked a meal the system will be updated, and no meal will be charged for.
As a gesture of goodwill, we are keeping the price of a school meal at £2.45 as we recognise the difficult times for parents due to the cost of living.

Our meals are freshly cooked on site and are excellent value at £2.45 per day for KS2 children and are free for children in Reception and Key Stage 1. Menus are on a three week cycle and are chosen and paid for by parents/carers in advance using the online School Money payment system. Applications for Free School Meals may be made direct to the Benefits Assessment Unit of the Corporate Services Directorate, Princess Buildings, Halifax. Please do not hesitate to seek advice from the school office in case of difficulty. An application form can also be downloaded here.
Nut Free School

In the interests of protecting pupils with nut allergies, we request that you do not send your children to school with any of the following: o Packaged nuts The above list is not exhaustive. Please check the ingredient lists carefully. Both children and adults with severe nut allergies can suffer from life-threatening reactions if they eat, smell, or touch any foods containing nuts. We are therefore grateful for your cooperation in helping to keep our pupils and staff safe. Birthday Sweets & Treats Going forward, we will only be able to hand out birthday treats supplied by parents/carers, if they are individually wrapped. Items will be handed out as the children leave school at the end of the day and children will not be permitted to eat them in school, in order to safeguard our pupils with nut, dairy and other allergies.
