Supporting Our Families
At Carr Green, we recognise that families sometimes need extra support. We work closely with local services to ensure every family can access the help they need. Our aim is to make sure families feel supported, connected, and confident in accessing resources when life gets challenging.
- Food Banks – emergency or ongoing support: We can help families access local food banks for times of financial difficulty, whether it’s a one‑off emergency or ongoing support. This ensures children and families have access to healthy, nutritious food.
- Women’s Groups – peer and practical support: Local women’s groups offer a safe space for parents and carers to share experiences, gain practical advice, and build supportive friendships within the community.
- Parenting Support Services – advice, workshops, guidance: We connect families to workshops, courses, and professional advice on all aspects of parenting. This includes strategies for managing behaviour, supporting learning, and promoting wellbeing at home.
- Local Family Services – financial, emotional, or social support: Families can access wider services for practical help, counselling, and social support. This includes help with budgeting, benefits advice, accessing leisure activities for children, or support with emotional wellbeing.
We aim to remove barriers so families can access the support they need quickly and confidently. If you are unsure where to start, our staff can help guide you to the right local service.
