At Carr Green Primary School, we believe tackling climate change is one of the most important challenges of our time. We are committed to creating a sustainable, resilient school environment that reduces our carbon footprint and prepares pupils to be responsible global citizens.

🌍 Our Approach

We have developed a detailed Climate Action Plan (2025–2027) that sets out practical steps to:

·         Reduce carbon emissions through energy efficiency and renewable energy

·         Adapt our buildings and grounds to be more resilient to climate risks

·         Embed sustainability in the curriculum and promote green careers

·         Engage pupils, staff, and families in meaningful climate action

·         Strengthen community partnerships to amplify our impact

·         Raised beds and gardening projects to promote biodiversity and healthy eating

·         Reducing food waste and teaching sustainable habits

·         Rolling programme to replace all lighting with energy-efficient LEDs

·         Solar panels to harness renewable energy
